ERASMUS+ Step by Step – Traineeships
ERASMUS+ TRAINEESHIPS WITH A GRANT FOR STUDENTS AND GRADUATES
Are you interested in going abroad for an Erasmus+ traineeship? Please contact the Erasmus+ Office:
An Erasmus+ Office staff member will be happy to work together with the student to prepare an individual traineeship programme.
In the past, we were able to finance the mobility of all applicants (which does not guarantee the same in the future), provided they applied early enough.
THIS IS NOT AN OFFER ONLY FOR THE BEST STUDENTS!!
It is an offer for all students who want to break language barriers, explore the world, and become more open, confident, courageous, proactive, and capable of solving problems.
ELIGIBILITY AND RULES
-
A student qualified for Erasmus+ mobility must meet the following formal requirements:
be registered as a first-cycle (Bachelor’s), second-cycle (Master’s), long-cycle Master’s, or doctoral student at the sending institution for the entire duration of the mobility.
Graduates may also participate provided they applied during their studies. The traineeship must start and end within 12 months after graduation. -
The duration of a traineeship at a partner institution (enterprise/organization) must be no shorter than 2 months and no longer than 12 months.
-
The Erasmus+ grant is awarded for a traineeship related to the student’s field of study.
The traineeship may be compulsory or non-compulsory, but it must always enable the acquisition of competences relevant to the student’s study programme.
The degree of relevance must be agreed in advance with the Faculty Traineeship Coordinator, in order to determine recognition and the percentage of compulsory traineeship credits. -
Erasmus+ traineeship mobility requires full-time employment, subject to agreement between both parties and local regulations.
-
During the selection process, the university will take into account:
academic performance, foreign language proficiency, and the order of applications. -
Each qualified student must be guaranteed full recognition of the traineeship completed at the host institution as equivalent to the traineeship at the home university, provided the correlation with the curriculum is approved by the Faculty Traineeship Coordinator.
-
Before departure, each Erasmus+ participant must have an individual traineeship programme agreed in the form of a Training Agreement (TA), signed by three parties:
the sending institution (Erasmus Coordinator on behalf of the university), the host institution, and the student. -
Any changes to the Training Agreement introduced by any party must be confirmed in writing.
-
If the traineeship is not an integral part of the study programme and is optional, the university should at least ensure that it is recorded in the Diploma Supplement.
-
At the end of the traineeship, the student will receive from the host institution confirmation of the completion of the traineeship programme, including an evaluation by the traineeship supervisor, and – if the duration of stay is not included in the Transcript of Records – a written confirmation of the traineeship period.
-
Payment of national grants (e.g. social grant, merit-based scholarships, other benefits) to which the student was entitled before departure will continue during the traineeship period.
-
A written agreement will be concluded with each student qualified for Erasmus+ mobility.
-
Each Erasmus+ participant will receive the Erasmus Student Charter, also available at:
https://erasmusplus.org.pl/brepo/panel_repo_files/2021/10/13/6vttfp/erasmus-student-charter-oct21-en.pdf -
The Erasmus+ grant can be paid only after the student accepts all terms of the agreement and submits the required documents.
-
A student who is not an EU citizen is required to legalize their stay in the host country (student visa, residence permit).
-
Payment of the advance instalment, in accordance with the financial agreement (section 4.1), is conditional upon providing proof of legal stay in the host country and having valid insurance, in line with Erasmus+ funding rules.
-
The university recommends but does not require that the student obtain insurance (medical treatment, accidents) for the duration of travel and stay at the host institution.
The student is obliged to correctly complete the relevant sections of the Training Programme regarding liability insurance (civil liability/OC), which is particularly important for traineeships.
The traineeship programme must clearly state whether the student has liability insurance. -
After returning from the host institution, the student is required to complete the Erasmus+ Participant Survey in the online system provided by the National Agency.
LANGUAGE SUPPORT (OLS)
Each student participating in a mobility lasting longer than 2 months is required to complete:
-
one language test before departure, and
-
one language test after returning.
This requirement is described in the financial agreement.
